About Me

My name is Christopher Wassall, and I live in Devon, England. My passion for computers, technology and software led me to develop this website to practice my skills and showcase my projects. I've been developing software and websites since 2001, picking up skills in many areas. Amongst the many languages I've used are Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic .NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Python, and PHP.

About the Websites

The websites I have developed and maintain are hosted on my own Linux server, so I have a clear picture of how things work and I have full control. I try to treat my projects as professionally as possible, performing regular backups and maintenance. I also follow best practices in securing the server and applications, so data is safe and secure.

I have created this website half as a showcase and portfolio, and half as a playground for me to practice and test new things. I'm very interested in keeping the site modern and using the latest web technologies to make my applications as simple and efficient as possible, and so JavaScript is required by many pages. Also access to some applications and pages on this website require an account; this is to allow the site to be personalized and store users' changes and data safely and securely.
